Santa Rosa plums are large, round to conical in shape, with a stunning reddish-purple skin that deepens in colour as the fruit ripens. The flesh is yellow to red near the skin, juicy, sweet-tart and wonderfully fragrant. They are superb for eating fresh, making jam and preserves, baking in tarts and cakes, and drying into prunes.
