Hass Avocado Tree for Sale

Buy a Hass Avocado Tree for an evergreen addition to your home that saves you time and money as an added bonus. The popular, tasty Hass Avocado Tree, which is so expensive in stores, will grow much sooner than seed-grown trees due to being grafted from proven rootstock!

Our Hass Avocado Trees for sale will provide you with delicious, creamy Hass Avocados for more than half the year! Vigorous growers that when allowed to grow to full height can create a nice canopy in the garden. However these can also be grown in pots and pruned back annually to maintain the size of tree you like best for easy harvesting.

A Hass Avocado picked from your home-grown tree at the right time has a lovely nutty flavour that stands out in a salad or is easily mashed into a fabulous guacamole. Store bought avocados won’t come close due to the freshness of a home picked fruit – no travel time and you have been in control of the nutrients and pest control given to the tree so you can be sure there are no nasties you aren’t aware of.

The Hass Avocado Tree has a very long harvesting season and fruit can be left on the tree for longer periods.

Our Avocado Trees have all been grafted which allows for fast growing trees that produce fruit within 3-5 years and often sooner! Most trees are at least 2 years old when we sell them and many of them already have fruit starting to sprout!!

Sunlight

Although partial sun will suffice, to give your avocado tree the best chance of success, make sure you choose a planting area that gives your Hass Avocado Tree full sun (at least six hours of morning to early afternoon sunlight each day).

Watering

A thorough watering once weekly is generally all your avocado needs, but they will look better if given a little extra love. While the roots prefer to stay on the dry side of things indoor plants need humidity and enjoy being misted daily with water during cooler months for best results!

Temperature

Generally a hardy tree down to 0 degrees celsius. Young plants will need some protection from frost.

Pollination Info

All avocado tree varieties are either A or B type, but the difference lies in the pollination. To encourage a successful harvest and to give your avocados optimal development, it is best if at least one of these trees are planted nearby as well.

The Type A avocado female flower part will open at the same time as a Type B male flower on the other tree; this more than doubles your chance for successful pollination and fruit-set!

The Hass Avocado Tree is a Type A Avocado. Self-pollinating, but will yield better if planted with a ‘B’ variety for good fruit set.

Commonly planted with a Fuerte Avocado Tree.

Planting & Care Guide

Avocado Trees boast a no-fuss maintenance, but proper care prepares them for a abundant life. Your tropical fruit will need frequent, deep waterings once a week, with enough time between waterings to let the soil dry out a bit.

Also, avoid fertilizing trees their first year, because fertilizer can burn the roots and cause damage.
